Bocce ball sets can range from twenty dollars to four hundred dollars. For outdoor bocce ball, there are no special sets. However, you should consider a durable set that can take a beating if the balls were to hit rocks, cement, or tree stumps.

If you are just starting out, we would not recommend going out and spending $400.00 right away. Buy a cheap set to learn the game and then later on, purchase that expensive set for that special occasion. You also may see that stores or websites will try and sell you different sets for the beach. Again, if you are just starting out, just take that cheap set to the beach and you won’t lose any enjoyment playing on the sand. Size Matters

When purchasing a bocce ball set, you may notice that some sets are of different sizes. The typical outdoor bocce ball used will most likely range from 100mm and 110mm in diameter. For family bocce activities, you also may want to consider the smaller diameter so that children can participate in the fun. Find a set that can maximize everyone’s performance.

Distinguished

The most important factor of outdoor bocce ball sets is that each teams’ balls are clearly distinguishable. The distinguished feature could be size, color, or pattern. You need to be able to tell the difference between each teams’ balls in order to decide who is closer when awarding points.
